Boyd told me recently that he was driving a truck for my dad, Kenneth Furness, the day I was born in 1939. My family & his were close & visited often in the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
Boyd was good friends with my two uncles, Garold & Woodie Furness, as well as my dad, Kenneth.
Boyd helped & advised me as I was starting at Caterpillar in the late 50s & 60s.
My wife, Lynn, met Boyd at the Cat Retirees Club, where she played & sang for the club.
I will always remember him as a very intelligent and good man.
We will all miss him.
